If reading books is your hobby, then you must have felt that selecting a book is one of the most critically important part. Most of the readers would love to have an expert suggestion to end the dilemma quickly and start Gobbling the next paperback.
The need is universal and the solution is also interesting. Let me share with you two online smart tools which will suggest you on your next read, on giving your last read’s title and author name. Try What should I read Next and BookSeer . Both these portals will suggest on what line you should move on in your endeavor. Each of the sites apparently follow different logic of analysis and prescribe solution.
What should I read next makes the choices based on the storyline or the content category . It catches the keyword in the name given by you as your last read and shows the results quickly. Though it can be misleading some times. I experimented with it by putting the name Oracle DBA and it showed some novels catching the keyword ”Oracle”’ which were no where near the Database Concept Book I intended. there is apparently no book on core technology but for novel readers it is recommendable as it has nearly 70000 titles into it’s list. (Techies do read novels I hope).
and below is the suggestions they made
Bookseer makes suggestions based on two different sources, Amazon and Library Thing, you can even buy the books online using the links there. Apparently it will suggest you books prioritizing the authors name. There is a high possibility that it will suggest a book of the same author, though it is not always true.
The best part is, the database is pretty updated, you can get suggestions to read any latest publication. So don’t get confused anymore, depend on the decently built analytic of these two tools and start finishing one after the other.
Please remember these site only will give you suggestions, not the opportunity of free reading.
