Valid only for 2 months (i.e., till 31st August, 2010), Facebook’s mobile site (http://m.facebook.com) is being made available in 5 different languages viz., Punjabi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam plus English and Hindi, all over the world, for the first time by July 15, 2010!! Also, for the first time, Airtel costumers, who also happen to be Facebook users, can make use of all the facilities on Facebook without any data charges!!
Present mobile internet customers on Airtel can directly start connecting with their friends as usual while, the customers, who would be accessing mobile internet for the first time, have to only SMS ‘FACEBOOK’ to 54321 to take advantage of this special offer.
Airtel is already providing real extra value to it customers and had earlier provided free 2Mbps upgrade to view IPL matches, currently also offers free Encyclopedia Britannica subscription for next 2 years to all broadband subscribers. Following the league, AIRTEL presents Free Mobile Facebook!!
