Apple hits skylines: sells 1.7 million iphone 4 in 3 days!!

The third week, since the launch of ‘Apple iPhone 4′, Apple has already sold a good 3 million pieces. Breaking the record, it sold 1.7 million in just the first three days!! And to compare, the original iPhone took 74 days to sell 1 million of its units.

Says Apple CEO Steve Jobs, “It was a phenomenal quarter that exceeded our expectations all around, including the most successful product launch in Apple’s history with iPhone 4.” Without doubts, the New Apple iPhone 4, priced $199 for 16 GB and $299 a 32 GB, has been the most successful product launch of the year. Recently posted Q3 earning for the fiscal year 2010, the company has again broken it’s own record, this time reporting an astounding $15.7 billion in revenue and a net quarterly profit of $3.35 billion!!

Quickly shaping up into the fastest selling Smartphone in the company’s history, the iPhone 4 is being expected to hit the world by 30th July, when it would be available in Australia , Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The complete roll-out is expected by the end of September.

Already rated as the most valuable IT technology company and US’s second most Valuable company all-in-all, Apple has reported its earnings of $3.51 per diluted share, which is much higher that the average $3.11 per share estimates of the wall-street.

With the sale of 3.47 Macs in the quarter, 8.4 million iphones and 3.27 million units of their latest product the iPad, Apple’s sales have been 61% higher year-by-year. It’s telling that international sales accounted for 52% of Apple’s quarterly revenue and that the continued growth in countries outside of the U.S. is having a positive impact on all of the company’s major product categories. And, to say, that apple has been facing competition in U.S from the likes of Google this quarter, which has produced remarkable sales!
