A Trojan is a malware that appears to perform a desirable function for the user prior to run or installation but instead facilitates unauthorized access of the user’s computer system. Basically Trojan is harmful software that looks legitimate. Users are typically tricked into loading and executing it on their systems.

Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 are the common operating systems that are commonly known as Win32. The Trojan virus resembles legitimate software such as antivirus, spywares etc. Suppose they get installed in your systems, these cause destruction to the data contained in your systems such as files, programs etc.

They also cause theft of your information and may sometimes hack your system by remote control. If we compare Trojans with viruses, they are different in a manner that as compared to viruses Trojans do not affect other files. The Win32 Trojans can be fixed with the help of antivirus software.

Now let’s get down to the steps which will help us to remove them-
Step 1) first of all you are required to click on the antivirus software that is installed on your system. This software resides either on your desktop or in the start menu and if you don’t find it in these two places you will find it in the installation folder. Nevertheless if you still can’t find it, it can mean that you don’t have an antivirus installed and you are advised to download it form any of the trusted sites.

Step 2) now Update the virus definitions by going through the instructions that are available. As you do this the software gets connected to the Internet and all you have to do is download and install files that permits the Scanner to expose Trojan, malware etc.

Step 3) then carry out a Full System Scan. The Scan hunts drives for Trojans and viruses that may have entered your system. The full system scan may take some time to reach completion.
