- Apple has introduced the latest iMac which supports an Intel Core i3 processor at a good 3.06 GHz. As expected from core i series of Intel processors, the new iMac supports Hyperthreading.
- Hyperthreading allows the two cores in the processor to run four threads simultaneously, thus speeding up processor intensive tasks like video editing, rendering in 3D model etc and does not support turbo boost technology.
- Unlike the previous iMacs, this iMac does not have any in-built graphics solution. NVIDIA GeForce 330M is replaced by ATI Radeon HD 4670 discrete graphics.
- Discrete graphic solution means that the HD 4670 has its own video RAM memory of 256 MB and which is enough for the graphics work or gaming.
- The 21.5 inch iMac contains same 4GB OF DDR3 RAM running at a higher 1333MHz, up from 1066MHz of the previous generation. The memory can be upgraded up to 16 GB.
- There is Bluetooth wireless keyboard and magic mouse.
- On the right hand side you have the slot loading super drive and an SD card slot just beneath it.
