7 New Smartphones You Can’t Ignore This Year

The Moblie World Congress in Barcelona was full of surprises and smart launches. This biggest technology extravaganza delivered the best ones and indeed they were tempting.

While we have witnessed the launching of new smartphones, which was the main attraction throughout the exhibition as there was boast of looks, unexpected features, fabulous design and a whole new interface. Now, we are bringing the top 6 smartphones which has or will create buzz throughout the year and are expected to hit the market in upcoming months.

1. ZTE Skate.



ZTE Skate is the latest smartphone unveiled by China based ZTE company which will come with the new version of Android i.e Android 2.3 Gingerbread. We all have seen ZTE Blade and being it’s successor ZTE Skate is indeed perfect buy for everyone. ZTE Skate offers:

• A large 4.3-inch touchscreen display.

• Powered by 800MHz processor.

• 3G HSDPA networks.

• 5 megapixel camera, built-in GPS.

• Wi-fi.

ZTE Skate will be available globally by the beginning of May 2011.

2. Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.



This is what we have been waiting for a while a smartphone I mean …a PlayStation smartphone, Xperia Play. This has surely changed the face of gaming industry and it is one of the most  anticipated phones of this year. Sony Xperia Play runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and supports:

• A 4-inch touchscreen with a stunning 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash.

• Sony Xperia Play has a slide out game pad which has digital D-pad, two analogue touch pads, two shoulder buttons.

• Four PlayStation icons; circle, cross, square and triangle. Sony Xperia Play is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has an Adreno GPU.

3. Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo & Xperia Pro.


Now, being Sony Xperia Play on the deck Sony Ericsson unveiled two more handsets Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and Sony Ericsson Pro and this has shows their brilliance that is because they have strategized this whole thing quite beautifully. Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and Sony Ericsson Pro are identical in looks but the only difference between them is the virtual keyboard which you will find in Neo. Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and Sony Ericsson Pro supports:

• 3.7-inch touchscreen.

• 3.5 mm headset jack.

• A microSD card slot and micro-USB ports.

• 1Ghz Snapdragon processor is the powerhouse and runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and Sony Ericsson Pro are my personal favorites so keep an eye on it.

4. LG Optimus 3D.



3D screen is the new thing we have seen this year and LG have taken a full advantage of it by launching LG Optimus 3D with a 3D screen and with a 3D camera. LG Optimus has a world’s first 4.3-inch stereoscopic LCD screen on which you can see the 3D images without special eyeglasses. LG Optimus is powered by dual-core OMAP4 processor has a pair of 5 megapixel camera.

5. ZTE Amigo.


ZTE launched their new sideways slider Amigo at MWC 2011. ZTE Amigo features 3.5-inch display and runs on Android 2.2 froyo. It comes with:

• 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus.

• QWERTY keyboard.

• Wi-Fi connectivity.

• GPS navigation.

• Integrated FM radio and built-in compass.

6. Huawei Ideos X3.



Huawei are trying hard to make mark in world mobile industry and are coming up with their first phone running on Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, IDEOS X3. Huawei Ideos X3 has:

• A 3.2-inch HVGA (320 x 480) touchscreen.

• 3.2 megapixel camera.

• micro USB port

• Wi-Fi.

7. Samsung Galaxy S II.



Samsung Galaxy S II was the most anticipated smartphone among all of us throughout MWC 2011. This exceptional handset can be the father of all smartphones and a lot of pride is at stake.
