Asus has unveiled Matrix GTX 580 and MARS II, two very powerful and massive graphic cards for gamers. GeForce GTX 580 is claimed to be the world’s fastest DirectX 11 GPU.
Matrix GTX 580 is designed same as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 and will come in two variants- standard and platinum versions. The standard version ASUS Matrix GTX 580 Standard will have a core frequency of 782 MHz and memory size of 1.5 GB. While the platinum version ASUS Matrix GTX 580 Platinum will have increased frequency of 816 MHz with the same 1.5 GB of memory space on the graphic card. Both of them look exactly the same and vary only in the operating frequency. It houses two cooling fans to ease off the heat emitted by the GPU and will take full three PCI slots to fit into the PC. The display connectivity would include two ports- DVI and HDMI.

If you were already awestruck by these two GPUs, then MARS II will blow you off probably. MARS II is something even better than the Matrix GTX 580s. This GPU is a giant and houses two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 graphic cards. MARS II is still being developed by Asus and will be launched later with even more serious cooling systems. What we know at present is that it will be 3 GB memory GPU and will be highly overclocked.
