There has always been a buzz as to how can one get cost effective 3D Vision active shutter glasses. For all such reasons NVIDIA has just announced the launch of its NVIDIA 3D Vision wired glasses. Taken into account, their infra-red counterparts that have battery that is not present in the vision glasses and hence simpler. To add on, its maximum suggested retail price is just of $99 thus giving them an edge over their infra-red counterparts. Considering the fact that it has a wire hanging on the left hand side and without too much of head movements it has a reasonable performance.

The (thin) USB 2.0 having considerate 10 foot long may work well for almost all desktop configurations, in addition can well be used in living rooms. As a matter of fact 3D solutions and glasses are still expensive and have drawn attention of business fraternity towards bringing that down to an affordable level, consequence resulting to adapting active shutter glasses by most of the companies, while LG is pushing really hard for a passive solution that is much lighter and cheaper.
As and when the prices come down the technology will have a boost to it. With advent of the glasses sale on the web costing about $100,they are expected to hit “streets” by “late June”, as quoted by NVIDIA.
