MTS introduced the pocket Wi-Fi router yesterday for the data customers with MTS telecommunications. The pocket Wi-Fi router from MTS is a totally new product and aims at providing Wi-Fi connectivity to people wherever they are. It is a kind of personal pocket Wi-Fi router that will let you access the internet using your phone or laptop or probably any device that can access the internet.
The new MTS pocket Wi-Fi router is based on the new technology called as Mi-Fi. The Mi-Fi technology will allow you to access the internet wherever you go and this is not based on 3G. The router will give you a Wi-Fi connection and you can use that with your phone. This is actually a very good concept and the service is the first to be introduced in India. There are currently no other service providers that have this pocket Wi-Fi router technology. MTS has a good chance of taking a lead here. Do note that the Mi-Fi technology already exists in the developed countries like USA and parts of Europe.
The pocket Wi-Fi router from MTS can create a small Wi-Fi environment and you don’t need to be bothered about any unauthorized access from your portable Wi-Fi connection as it has a password and you can connect up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices to the MTS pocket Wi-Fi router at a time. The MTS pocket Wi-Fi router is password protected so that you can be rest assured that nobody illegally misuses your personal pocket Wi-Fi connection. MTS pocket Wi-Fi router service would be available in select cities in India.
