Motorola has plans to launch a new mobile phone, the all new Motorola XT316. This new phone is another android phone in the market and features a touchscreen and a QWERTY keypad for easy messaging and emailing.
The new Motorola XT316 is Android 2.2 Froyo powered phone and once this phone is launched in the market, you could also go for the updated Android 2.3 Gingerbread version as well. Powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7227-1 600 MHz processor, this phone has 256 MB RAM and 512 ROM internal storage. You can expand the storage using microSD card slots and this can be expanded up to 32 GB.
The Motorola XT316 also features a capacitive touchscreen but it isn’t very big considering its size of just 2.8 inches and QVGA technology displaying images at 320×240 pixel resolution. Connectivity options are abound in this phone as you will be able to use Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity and can connect to the internet through Bluetooth version 2.1 and GPRS. The Motorola XT316 sports a full QWERTY keypad that makes typing text messages and emails very simple and fast. The QWERTY keypad would actually be a great hit among the youngsters as they are the ones who like to text the most.
Another important feature of Motorola XT316 is its cool and high quality 3 MP camera capable of taking good images with 2048×1536 pixel resolution. The camera is also capable of high quality video recording and records videos at 480p resolution at 24 fps. Fitted with a 1420 mAh battery, Motorola XT316 is capable of providing a maximum talk time of 8 hours and a standby time of full 27 days.

Motorola XT316 is released in China and will come to other parts of Asia soon. Once it is launched in the market then there will be Android 2.3 update available at that time. Motorola XT316 is pretty new and therefore the price is yet to be confirmed.
