Officially Unlock Boot Loader Of Sony Xperia Play, Neo, Arc, Pro

Recently a website was launched by Sony Ericsson to Unlock Bootloader of Sony Xperia Play, Arc, Pro, Neo Officially. The following link unloackbootloader.sonyericsson.com will lead you to the website that will help you how to Unlock Bootloader.

Notice: Sony Ericsson will no longer guarantee the full functionality of your phone, and you will be responsible for any unsigned custom software being flashed to the phone after the boot loader is unlocked.

INSTRUCTIONS TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER:-

•    At the bottom of the page click Continue to start the unlock boot loader process.

•    Click Yes, I’m sure while reading through the information in the pop up window.

•    Click Accept in terms and conditions.

•    Enter your name, email address and first 14 digits.

•    You will see that the unlock boot loader key is displayed. Write down and save the key for later use.

•    Now, download and install the latest Android SDK from developer.android.com.

•    Now, Go to the unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/downloadinf.zip in your web browser and download a zip file which contains the android_winusb.inf-file.

•    Now, unzip the file and place it in the usb_driver folder in the Android SDK folder on your computer. Just accept it to replace the old android_winusb.inf-file with the new.

•    Now, turn off you phone.

•    Now, here is the trick. You must push and hold the unlock button on your phone at the same time when you connect the phone to your computer with a USB-cable. See the note in the bottom of the page.

•    After this you will be asked for drivers. Go to the usb_driver-folder where you have placed the android_winusb.inf-file, and select the Android Bootloader Interface-File. If the drivers are not asked then you phone will to boot as usual, and is not possible to unlock boot loader on your phone.

•    Got to the command window and then to tools folder on the Android SDK folder in your computer.

•    Type fastboot.exe –I 0x0fce getvar version, and then verify. If there is a response it means your phone is well connected.
