The Olympus now brings out a new fantasy for photographers. The Olympus PEN EP3 the fifth in succession to the pen Micro Four Third line, brings about a range of new features and design not forgetting the old PEN’s old style body. Now talking about the performance the lens shutter is fast with a time lag of 60 milliseconds.
The early snags in the original PEN has been removed this time, and with the addition of the pop-up flash which can revive in your mind the old party photographic styles, with red eyes and washed out funny faces. The Olympus has given a removable grip which can be changed with a coin, and can then be replaced with another one or can be left as it is for people with short palms.
Unlike the Panasonic the Olympus does not provide manual switches, so all work has to be done on the LCD touch screen. The LCD is new, giving a higher resolution with 614,000 dot OLED. Supporting to the new LCD screen, the Olympus has also introduced the Zuiko Digital Ed 12m f 2.0 along with the Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f 1.8. The manual focus ring on the first lens has markings on its barrel. The second lens makes a good portrait lens. The camera uses the old sensors which are the 12.3 MP, but this time it is powered by the TRUEPIC VI which boasts of a better color reproduction.

Other than the above mentioned features the Olympus further provides:
- Full 1080i HD Video (so you don’t have to worry about the blur)
- New 3D shooting (adds reality to your captured moments)
- Three Inch touch screen (as per the latest trend)
- Built in flash
- ISO up to 12800.
The Olympus PEN EP3 will be available in august with a price tag of $900 with the Zuiko digital zoom Or the Zuiko digital prime.
