Sony VAIO Z is the latest super-slim and lightweight laptop. I can’t say that Sony VAIO Z isn’t feature-rich on its own. Remember the movie American Psycho, in which Christian Bale had a laptop on its desk. It just looks like that one. Now, my intention is not to hurt Sony VAIO Z, so we mean that as a complement. There were rounded edges on the MacBook Air and Samsung Series 9 which looked quite amazing but this black beast has square edges and pointed corners which give them somewhat a retro-80’s look. Sony VAIO Z comes with three colors- Carbon black, carbon indigo, and premium carbon. My recommendation will be Carbon black because it looks classy and cool. The body of Sony VAIO Z is nice but still the aluminum Apple and Duralumin Samsung feels more sturdier.
On the bottom of Sony VAIO Z you will find a removable battery. Sony provides customers optional battery but when you attach the optional sheet battery, Sony VAIO Z’s weight quite increases to a manageable 3.6 pounds.
On a serious note, I wasn’t impressed by its keyboard and touchpad. One of the main reasons why I wasn’t impressed by VAIO Z is the tiny right Shift key which is placed right next to the up arrow. Though the display of Sony VAIO Z is bright, sharp and measures 13-inch. I must admit that this display is one of the best we’ve seen on an ultraportable.
Recently we saw the trailer of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part II, it looked vibrant on Sony VAIO Z display.
