After hearing the price of the Optimus 3D that has been launched by LG in India there is only one word that comes to my mind; EXTORTION! For those who are oblivious of the pricing of the smartphone that was recently revealed in a press release, let me the one to spread the bad news, the phone has been priced at Rs.37000. You’ve read it right, so you don’t need to read it again.
I can’t understand why the company has priced this handset so high, is it because they don’t want people to buy the phone? I’m sure there are numerous 3D fanatics in the country but how many of them can spend 37K on a smartphone?
As a consolation, LG will be giving away 3D glasses free with the handset. But that won’t be such a big deal when HTC does the same with the Evo 3D.

Features of the LG Optimus 3D:
- 1GHz Dual core processor
- Android 2.2 operating system
- 8GB internal storage
- 4.3 inch display
- Dual 5MP camera for 3D recording, which can be shared via DLNA on compatible devices.
For those who are still reading this post, the phone will be available in September in the Indian market.
