Motorola XT531 is the latest low end smartphone launched by Motorola, which runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating system. Smartphones have become an integral part of the user’s lives, that’s why Motorola believes that they should be fun, fashionable and packed with features. This device is unveiled to provide the fast moving young users, with everything they want from a top quality smartphone, at a very affordable price. This handset will be available in India in the coming two months.
Motorola XT531 is powered by a single core, 800 MHz processor which allows sufficient amount of speed while working. Other features include a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen screen display with 480×320 pixel resolution, it is supposed that even VGA (480×640) resolution support would have been great for an extra bright 3.5 inch display, since there is a bit of pixel issue found in this mid range device.
This device comes with a 512 MB RAM and 512MB ROM internal memory and an expandable memory up to 32 GB, this handset will feature what is assumed to be a new user interface, dubbed as Moto Switch, which allows changing between modes that have been setup for different purposes.
This device supports tri band 3G Networks and also offers wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and Wi Fi. Motorola XT531 features a 5 megapixel rear camera with auto flash, for capturing good quality snapshots and a VGA camera for supporting video chat functions. The Qiki video chat software app is installed, so that users just have to register for the same and start chatting. It also has A-GPS and a support large number of Google services.
Motorola XT531 includes a 3.5mm audio port, FM Radio player with RDS, e-Compass. This device comes with a 1540 mAh battery pack that offers up to eight hours of talk time and 28 days of standby time in 3G mode which is more than any low end phones could offer.
This phone is designed to compete with the other handsets like Samsung Galaxy Ace/ Galaxy 3, HTC Wildfire and other devices which are present in the mid range section. The company is set to expand its mid range Android handset segment, as it provides a wider market base. Motorola XT531 will be available in both single SIM and dual SIM versions in India.
