A couple of solid state drives have been added to its present range by Corsair. These drives are essentially 90GB drivers. They have been dubbed Force and Force GT SATA 6 GB/s SSDs. The Force Series GT has been designed keeping in mind music and video enthusiasts. The drive uses ONFI synchronous flash memory and has a reading speed up to 555MB per second and a writing speed up to 505 MB per second.
While the Force 3 90GB has the same reading and writing speed as stated above it does not have the ONFI synchronous flash memory.
Both the drives are backward compatible with SATA 2 and can be purchased from the market. The Force Series 3 90GB has been priced at $159 while the Force Series GT 90GB has been priced at $199.
