The new Samsung Wave Y is the cheapest phone among the three Bada OS phones announced by Samsung. Samsung had announced Samsung Wave 3 and Samsung Wave M other than the Samsung Wave Y. All the phone operate on Bada OS version 2.0 and they are all very good phones. These phones are smartphones but Samsung hasn’t built them to be Android. Samsung has manufactured a lot of phones with Android OS but these three phones are being launched in the market with a new operating system. The phone will be released in the last quarter of 2011.
Samsung Wave Y is the phone which has the least phone among the three phones but hey! It is not bad enough. Samsung Wave Y has a 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen with 320×480 pixels resolution. The display employs TouchWiz UI for navigation through various application and software installed on the phone. This one is also operated on quad band GSM technology, so connectivity would never be a problem with the new Samsung Wave Y.

The new Samsung Wave Y is powered by a single core 832 MHz processor and runs on Bada OS version 2.0. Like the other two Bada phones, this one also has the ChatON feature too. The phone features a 150 MB internal memory and this is expandable through a microSD card slot. You will get a 2 GB card along with the phone itself. We all have heard about the NFC technology and the Samsung Wave Y does have it.

The Samsung Wave Y has a 2 MP camera that takes decent images and does video recording too. The phone boasts of a 1200 mAh battery and this provides talk time of 6 hours.
