Toshiba has jumped into the tablet market with the release of its first Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS powered tablet Toshiba Folio 100. This device is aimed at providing seamless social networking and mobile internet experience to its customers, with its slim design, high portability and the simplicity of its multi touch interface. Earlier only its Wi-Fi version was available and now the 3G version have also been launched.
Toshiba Folio 100 features a 10.1 inch LCD display which is slightly brighter than Samsung Galaxy tab and iPad when its brightness in set at a default 50 % value. The screen resolution of this tablet is quite impressive and stands on 1024 x 600 pixels, which is a very good deal for watching movies and photographs. This tablet comes with a HDMI port, so now you can connect it to your HDTV and watch movies directly from your television sets. With its inbuilt Nvidia tegra graphics card, it supports 1080 p videos and also it reduces the power usage to a very great extent, due to which it can deliver a battery life of about 7 hours.
It supports Bluetooth 2.1, 3G, Wi-Fi and USB 2.0 (client and hub). Toshiba Folio 100 also features a SD/MMC card reader, 16 GB internal memory and a 1.3 MP webcam for video chatting. This device also supports Adobe® Flash Player 10.1 and other softwares like Opera Mobile, Toshiba Media Player, FBReader, Fring, Document to Go, Evernote are pre-installed in this tablet.
