Jigsee Video Streaming App for GPRS enabled handsets

The Jigsee app for feature phones that has been developed by Jigsee seems to be quite a catch in case you don’t have a smartphone. Afterall why should only smartphone owners have all the fun? The company may as well lay emphasis on the “dumb” phones and make some money while doing this. The USP of the app is that it is capable of streaming videos even on the GPRS connection which is quite slow.

There are over 200000 minutes of video content for the viewers and the contents is provided from renowned sources such as 1take media, UTV, UTV Bindaas, Mukta Arts, Point Zero, Speed Records, Spice Digital, Soor Mandir, Manorama, Mayura, Wave Music, and Yuki. The contents are available in a wide range of languages including Bhojpuri, English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu and more videos will be added in the near future.

The app can be downloaded from any handset that has a GPRS connection, and the app is extremely cheap and would cost you anywhere between Rs.50 and Rs.99 per month. The app would get better with a 3G or a Wi-Fi connection. The app is in its beta stage at present and has more than 200 different Java devices. The company is all set to roll out this software on various other mobile platforms and devices.
