Sony recently made an addition to their MP3 players with the new Sony NWZ- E363 series Walkman PMP Player. The device is not the regular PMP players that are available in the market. It is available in Black and White and is equipped with a 2 inch TFT QVGA colour display that has a white LED backlight. Right below the screen is a silver-coloured four way directional pad that has concentric back and option buttons. A 3.5 mm jack is present at the base of the device and a port for USB charging. The right side has the volume control as well as the Hold button The PMP weighs just 55 grams and is extremely portable.
The home screen of the PMP Player consists of 9 icons. These are: Shuffle All, FM Radio, Clock Display, Music, Videos, Settings, Playlists and Now Playing. It has a standard interface that displays the name of the song being played, the Album Art in the centre and the Artist’s name, Album Name, Genre followed by the Release Year at the bottom. The PMP Players supports both audio and video files which are of the MP3, WMA, AAC-LC, L-PCM, WMV9, WMA or JPEG format. Unfortunately there is the player is not compatible with MP4 and AVI files.
An AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter System) volume limit mode is also present to limit the maximum sound level output in order to prevent the sound from escaping through the headphones. The player supports a playback time of 16 hours and 40 minutes for audio. The Sony NWZ – E363 series Walkman comes at a price of Rs. 4,990 without the headphones.
