Xperia Ray and Xperia Active come to India In September

The much awaited handsets from Sony Ericsson; the Xperia Ray and Xperia Active are soon going to hit the Indian markets. The two handsets has been announced by the company in the CommunicAsia 2011 event that was held in Singapore. Xperia Ray and Xperia Active will run Android 2.3 operating system and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. Xperia Ray is expected to hit the markets in the second week of September while Xperia Active will be made available to customers in the fourth week of the same month.

Xperia Active has a 3 inch display that has the Sony’s Mobile Bravia display technology. It has a 5 megapixel shooter and is dust and water resistant. It also has the wet finger tracking that enables the phone to work perfectly well in case you are using wet fingers on the touchscreen. Xperia Active would be a good choice for fitness freaks as the phone is pre-loaded with many sports apps and these apps help track fitness levels. Besides this, Xperia Active allows the user to share their progress with friends on Facebook. The handset has a changeable back cover and it also comes with a wrist strap and an arm case for use during workouts.

Xperia Ray is for the fashion fanatics as the phone is really attractive and it comes with a sleek aluminum frame, a 3.3 inch reality display with the Bravia engine. It works on Gingerbread and is backed by a 1 GHz processor. It has an 8.1 megapixel camera that the Exmor R Sony camera technology.

Xperia Ray and Xperia Active is priced between Rs.17000 and Rs.20000.
