When the display settings of any folder is set to ‘Thumbnails’, then it is a Photo Folder. But when we just change the display settings to ‘Thumbnails’, the effect is only temporary, and the process has to be repeated every time you open that certain folder. In order to make it permanent, follow these steps:

• Right-click on the folder you want as a photo folder, and click ‘Properties’.

• Click ‘Customize’ & select “Pictures (best for many files)”, under “Use this folder type” as template.

• Check on “Also apply this template to all subfolders” to apply the settings to the subfolders as well.

• Click OK.

Now, you will be able to differentiate between normal folders and Photo Folders.

According to recent reports, IBM & European Union will partner together on two projects aiming for smoother running of governments and business collaborations on the internet.

The two projects are described briefly, below:

• The first project is named PINCETTE, which is a new technology that aims to search the smallest viruses & software bugs in large networks like in electrical grids, water pipes & nuclear power plants. This technology will test, diagnose & will also predict how networked systems would be affected by upgrades. In case of problematic upgrades, the design of the technology will be such that it will be able to avoid those issues which are causing the problems.
• The second project is ACSI (ARTIFACT-CENTRIC SERVICE INTEROPERATION) consortium, which is designed to ease the business collaboration over the internet, using Internet-based services or “e-services”. It will help the smaller businesses in a way, that they can use various technologies even if they don’t have the expertise.

Energy, Health care, Supply Chain Logistics, Heavy Manufacturing & Government Industries should be able to take advantage of the collaboration.

But according to the recent announcement, the downgrade rights of Windows 7-to-Windows XP extended until 2020, the same year in which Windows 7 Professional would be called out of the market.

In a recently released official report  by software giant Microsoft, the Kinect hardware, along with a copy of Kinect Adventures, would be released on November 4. It could be retailed for $150, and along Kinectimals, Kinect Sport & Kinect Joy Ride will  also be released, at a retail price of $49.99.

Also in another statement released by Microsoft, the new version of Xbox 360 will be released on August 3. It would cost you $200. It features 4 GB of flash storage, with the ability to store & save  games on USB drives. This is the most impressive version of Xbox 360 released till now, and the $200 price tag is correctly set.

If  this was not enough, later this year, Microsoft would be releasing the new 4 GB hardware, the Kinect Hardware and a copy of Kinect Adventures, available for just $300.

Well, this idea came to the mind of a German designer Andrew Kupresanin, who has designed Nadia, a little black camera dressed as a Goth Flip. What it contains, to assess the artistic quality of a possible photo, is an “aesthetics interference engine”. Although, this concept is obviously a prototype, that day won’t be far when your camera instructs you to improve the quality of the potential picture that you are going to take. Cool, ain’t it??
